This module aims to discuss the elements of effective records through in depth analysis of a number of classic records. Students are expected to apply these fundamental elements in their personal production projects.
This module aims to explain and demonstrate listening techniques for production mixing. Students are expected to describe and show these techniques while evaluating professional records and their personal production projects.
This module aims to describe and show music production processes using the Logic Pro software. Students are expected to evaluate, choose and demonstrate appropriate techniques which is most relevant to their assignment.
This module aims to explain and illustrate 5 segments needed in digital music composition and arrangement, namely; Basics & Rhythm; Melody and Development; Harmony and Structure; Orchestration and Arrangement and lastly; Reference Points. Students are expected to demonstrate awareness of these 5 segments in their personal production project.
This module aims to explain and describe the fundamental technical knowledge relevant to Audio Engineering. Students are expected to recall these knowledge and demonstrate skills through hands-on demonstration and quizzes.
This module aims to explain and describe the audio engineering techniques and set-ups specifics for different genre’s of music (pop, folk, classical etc). Students are expected to recall these knowledge and demonstrate skills through hands-on demonstration and quizzes.
This module aims to relate students to the ins and outs of the Music Business (with a focus on the local and regional Industry) with specific attention to label operations, marketing, event management and liaison with music promoters and publishers. Students are expected to apply these networks and awareness in their personal portfolio documentation and compilation.
This module aims to demonstrate the applications of audio production techniques for post production purposes. Scope of the module would include audio post production for film, animation, websites and installations. Students are expected to evaluate, choose and demonstrate appropriate techniques in their personal projects.
